Edifier Airpulse A300Pro Hi-Res Active Speaker System (Pair) – Horn-Loaded Ribbon Tweeter, 6.5" Aluminum Mid-Woofer, Bluetooth 5.0 with AptX HD

I've owned a lot of speakers over thirty years and the Airpulse A300Pro's horn-loaded ribbon tweeter is the most revealing high end I've had in my home. Cymbals shimmer, vocals have that 'you are there' quality, and the 6.5-inch aluminum woofers anchor it all with authority. AptX HD from my phone sounds nearly indistinguishable from my DAC. At this price they're a steal, frankly.

Active design means no amp to buy, and the digital inputs handle my streamer and TV directly. Soundstage is wide and precise. Couldn't be happier.

These are big speakers — measure your setup first. Once placed properly the sound is phenomenal, especially classical and jazz. Ribbon tweeter can be a bit bright in a bare room, softened with some rugs and curtains.

Sold my amp and standmounts after two weeks with these. The built-in DSP and Class-D amplification are that good. Detail retrieval is stunning on well-mastered recordings, and the A300Pro's handle poorly mastered stuff gracefully too. The remote is a nice touch for a desktop-to-couch workflow.

These are analytical speakers — honest, revealing, sometimes unforgiving of bad recordings. If you like a warm, laid-back sound, audition first. Build and engineering are top notch though.

Bought the matching stands and the combo looks and sounds fantastic. Ribbon highs are gorgeous. Setup took an hour including cable management. One star off for the slightly clunky input switching.

After years of upgrades I've stopped looking. These do everything — TV, vinyl via the line input, streaming over Bluetooth. The horns image like nothing I've owned under $3000. Tremendous.

Never thought I'd own ribbon tweeters, let alone ones this refined. Movies, music, everything sounds bigger and more detailed. Wife approves of the look too, which matters.
