The CODE50 punches way above its weight. I've been playing for over 20 years and the 14 preamp models cover everything from sparkling cleans to full-on JCM800-style crunch. The Bluetooth streaming makes it easy to jam along with backing tracks, and editing patches on my phone through the Gateway app is genuinely convenient. For $95 this is an absolute steal.
Bought this for bedroom practice and it's honestly more than I need. The presets are a great starting point and I've tweaked a few to my taste. Aux in and Bluetooth work flawlessly. Highly recommend.
Takes a bit of time to figure out the menu system, but once you get the hang of it the tones are really impressive. The delay and reverb effects are surprisingly good. Solid build quality too, feels like a proper Marshall.
The modeling sounds are decent and the volume is plenty for home use. My main gripe is the control panel feels a bit cheap and the default presets are hit or miss. Once I dialed in my own patches though, I was pretty happy with it.
Sounds great, tons of presets. Can't beat it for the price.
I've had this for about three months now and use it almost daily. The preset variety keeps things fresh and the 100+ options mean I rarely get bored. Speaker sounds full even at low volume, which matters a lot in an apartment. Wish the footswitch was included, but that's a minor complaint.
The amp tones are fine, but the Bluetooth connection drops constantly on my unit. I tried two different phones and had the same issue. Support was responsive but I ended up just using a cable, which works okay.
Bought this for my teenage son who's been learning guitar for a year. He loves playing along with songs through the Bluetooth and the different amp models keep him experimenting. Great value and it arrived quickly and well packaged. Would buy again.
From jazz cleans to metal chugs, this thing does it all. The app editing is a huge plus compared to fiddling with tiny buttons. 50 watts is honestly louder than I'll ever need at home. Only wish the cabinet simulation felt a bit more natural at high gain, but overall very satisfied.
Honestly didn't expect much at this price point but Marshall delivered. Presets are usable right out of the box and the effects loop through the app is intuitive. Good value.
Been playing guitar on and off since the 90s and this is my first modeling amp. The convenience of having dozens of amp models is nice, no doubt. But the digital character comes through a bit on some high-gain settings, and I sometimes miss the simplicity of my old tube combo. Still, for practice and jamming at home it does the job well and I don't regret the purchase.
