Edifier P12 Passive Bookshelf Speakers with 4" Mid-Bass Driver, 19mm Silk Dome Tweeter, MDF Enclosure, Wall-Mount Brackets – Amplifier Required

Paired these with an old Yamaha receiver and the result is magic. The silk dome tweeters are smooth and never harsh, and the MDF enclosure gives a warmth that plastic boxes can't touch. Wall-mount brackets included was a nice surprise. For the sale price, these are the best entry into real hi-fi I know of.

Small amp, these speakers, phone connected via aux. Done. Sound is cozy and full.

These are my first proper passive bookshelves and they've been a joy. Mids and highs are clear and natural; the 4-inch drivers obviously won't shake the walls, but that's what a sub is for. Build is solid with real wood MDF, not hollow plastic. Excellent value even at full price, so the discount was a no-brainer.

Remember these are passive — you need a decent amplifier, and they sound thin on a weak one. Once I hooked them to a proper amp they opened up nicely. Bass is modest as expected from 4-inch drivers. Fine value but set expectations.

Put these on the wall brackets in my workshop with a cheap Class D amp. They handle dust and vibration fine and sound far better than anything else I've had out there. Podcasts and classic rock both sound great. Simple, tough, cheap — exactly what I needed.

The 19mm silk dome tweeters really do make a difference — no fatigue even after hours of listening. Imaging is decent for the size. They do need a bit of volume to come alive, but paired with my vintage receiver they're lovely. Brackets made mounting easy.

In a large living room these just didn't have the output I needed, even with a capable amp. Sound quality itself is pleasant but the scale wasn't there. Better suited to small rooms or desks.

Bought these to pair with my dad's old Marantz amp he left me and they're a perfect match. Warm, forgiving sound that makes vinyl so enjoyable. The MDF cabinets look appropriately vintage too. Couldn't be happier.

Crisp treble, natural vocals, decent bass for the driver size. Would love a bit more low-end punch but that's physics, not a flaw. Great little speakers.
